WE CARE ABOUT OUR PLAYERS!

Nothing matters more to Bowling Green FC than the safety, health, and well-being of our players. If a player experiences a serious injury during training or a match, our club is here to support the player and their family every step of the way.

Injury Reporting Procedure

Coaches are required to notify club leadership of any serious player injury or suspected concussion that causes a player to miss practice or game time.
An Injury Report Form should be completed by the coach or team manager within 48 hours of the incident.

If you’re unsure whether to report an injury — please do. We’d rather receive multiple reports than miss one that matters.

Injured Players

  • The final decisions regarding medical care and treatment rest with the player’s parent(s) or guardian(s).

  • BGFC’s priority is to promote injury prevention and ensure safe return-to-play practices.

  • Players may be eligible for secondary insurance coverage through the club if the injury occurred during a sanctioned event.

  • We understand that minor bumps and bruises are part of the game — but if an injury requires crutches, a cast, or a walking boot, please let us know so we can offer support.

Head Injuries & Concussions

All head injuries, suspected concussions, or cardiac-related symptoms must follow our official Return to Play Protocol before the player resumes participation.
In some cases, the club may require a doctor’s clearance note prior to returning to training or games.
